The word “fat” has gotten a negative reputation among healthy eaters. They do everything they can to stay away from fats, because they know that these can increase their weight and make them more prone to a number of health problems.
But it’s important to realize that sufficient fat is needed by the body to function properly. The key here is distinguishing bad fat from good fat. Trans fat and genetically modified fats are a major no-no. But those made from natural ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil and palm oil should not be off-limits.
