I know you’ve all heard some facts about soda, usually these facts are not very flattering for soda. Most facts focus on soda’s nutritional demerits and its contribution to a score of diseases and health problems. But, numbers and figures aside, these unhealthy facts about soft drink are downright disturbing.
This link features the usual harmful-to-your-health facts and five big and bad facts. A few really grabbed me by the throat:
- Soda can be used to clean a toilet. Yes. That toilet that is too gross to touch without a tissue or rubber glove barrier, can be cleaned with the very same soda you have probably use to wash down popcorn at the movies.
- Soda contains aspartame or rat poison. Now I don’t care how diluted this aspartame is, no matter the concentration, I don’t want to guzzle a pest control.
- And I know I said I’d leave numbers out of it, but this one was too shocking to let go of: According to the link, the people at Rawfully Full, discuss a long-term study that showed that two or more sodas a day can increase waistline by 500 percent!
You can read on for more unhealthy facts about soda, but chances are these facts were enough and you’ll promptly pour the can down the toilet (and clean the toilet, if you want), then drink a glass of water or juice, instead.
