There are various causes for body tingling. One is nerve impingement. Carpal tunnel syndrome, for example, is a condition characterized by the numbness and tingling of the hands and arms. It is caused by a pinch nerve in the wrist. Prolonged sitting or staying in the same position can also impinge the nerves and result in temporary tingling.
Another possible cause is an underlying metabolic condition. For example, if you have diabetes that persistently shoots up your blood sugar levels, your nerves can be damaged over time. The nerve damage, in turn, causes body numbness, pain and tingling.
