Many people aren’t aware that the nails can be an indication of one’s health condition. For example, overly pale nails can signal an underlying medical condition such as liver disease, congestive heart failure and anemia.
White nails with very dark rims can be a sign of a liver problem like hepatitis. Yellow nails, meanwhile, may mean the presence of a fungal infection. If not treated right away, the nail bed will retract and nails will become thick and crumbled. It can also be possible for yellow nails to indicate the existence of a lug disease or thyroid disease.
