Mustard oil is known far and wide for its antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties. This oil, which comes from the Eastern regions of Bangladesh and India, is used in cooking in these countries.
But in some parts of Europe and the United States, it is only used for external application. This oil is extracted after subjecting mustard seeds to cold compression. From the seeds, the oil is extracted through steam distillation.
