High cholesterol is a health issue that plagues many of us these days. There are bottles and shelves of prescription medications. And while these prescriptions may be appropriate for more serious cases, there are many of us that would like to try a more natural approach first. This video provides background information on high cholesterol as well as some tips on lowering it.
You can have high cholesterol merely based on hereditary factors. Some have high cholesterol because of their high fat diet. Others find themselves with high cholesterol because of their habits, like smoking or drinking, or from a stressful lifestyle.
Whether you have high cholesterol because of genetics, your diet, your habits, or your lifestyle, you probably want to lower it.
Luckily, there are a few home remedies to try:
- The first remedy consists of water and coriander seeds. All you need to do is boil, strain, let cool and drink it.
- The second featured remedy uses watermelon seeds. You need to dry, roast and crush the watermelon seeds. Add the powder to some water and drink once a day.
- The third remedy uses basil and margosa leaves. Take 10-15 leaves of both and crush them, then add to water. Drink this remedy on an empty stomach.
Using one of these three remedies you can try to lower your bad cholesterol, the LDL. In addition to the remedies, be sure to drink plenty of water and eat a controlled diet. Watch the video for an in-depth explanation of cholesterol and for how to reproduce the remedies.
