Pollen refers to fine powder coming from trees, flowers, weeds and grasses. It is carried and spread by the wind and birds to put in plants for fertilization. Unfortunately, many people are allergic to pollen and experience allergy symptoms after exposure.
Some of the trees that give off pollen include ash, beech, birch, cedar, elm, mulberry, oak and willow. If you have pollen allergy, you should spend more time indoors during pollen season. If you have to come out, it’d help to wear a dust mask. Change your clothes right away when you come back home as there may be pollen on them. Clean the air conditioner filters more often.
